Transportation Notes

Tennessee lifted Thursday a Critical Day 1 OFO Alert (see Daily GPI, Nov. 4) for customers under Rate Schedules LMS-MA and LMS-PA. However, customers under Rate Schedule FS, including customers utilizing the Storage Swing Option (SSO) service, will remain subject to the alert until further notice.

Transportation Notes

Adding to restrictions under its Critical Day 1 OFO Alert that took effect Tuesday, Tennessee said that beginning Wednesday all storage injections under Rate Schedule FS will be limited to the Maximum Daily Injection Quantity (MDIQ). This includes customers using Storage Swing Option (SSO) service under Rate Schedule LMSMA. A penalty of $5/Dth plus the applicable regional daily spot price will apply for volumes in excess of MDIQ.

Transportation Notes

A pig is stuck in the 527A-700 Line due to a plug that formed in the line, Tennessee said Monday. It had hoped to work the pig free by last Friday. The plug must be dissolved and removed before the line can return to service; the outage is expected to last seven to 14 days. Until the pig is recovered, physical flow at the South Pass 57A, South Pass 77A and West Delta 109 meters offshore Louisiana has been suspended.

Tennessee said a pigging of the Header and East Leg segments of the Blue Water System offshore Louisiana, previously scheduled to begin Aug. 11, has been canceled. The next pigging of Blue Water’s Header and East Leg is set for Sept. 8-11, during which producers may encounter higher than normal pipeline pressure. Physical flow will be interrupted at the South Marsh Island 76P for about 12 hours Sept. 8.

Tennessee said Monday it was in the process of isolating the section of pipeline following discovery of a leak in the vicinity of South Pass 38. It estimated that repairs would “take a minimum of two weeks.” The South Pass 38, 39, 45 and 47 meters are affected.

Piping on the Bay Marchand 5 platform offshore southeastern Louisiana was damaged during Hurricane Lili, Tennessee said. A jackup rig is scheduled to be on site Dec. 18 to perform repairs that are expected to last eight days. Physical flow will be suspended Dec. 18-25 at the following meters: Bay Marchand 24, Grand Isle 47, South Timbalier 22, Grand Isle 48J, South Timbalier 54/55E, and South Timbalier 23. A second Bay Marchand meter will be affected, but its block number was not identified.

Citing “inclement weather in the Gulf of Mexico,” Tennessee canceled the quarterly pigging of the Header and East Leg segments of the Blue Water System offshore Louisiana that had been Monday through Thursday this week (see Daily GPI, Sept. 6). The next quarterly pigging is scheduled for Nov. 11-14.
