NGPL said gas quality problems that arose at two receipt points over the weekend have been resolved. It was scheduling at normal levels Monday for the Enogex-Latimer and EPGT-Panola points in Latimer County, OK and Panola County, TX respectively.

Transportation Notes

Florida Gas Transmission advised shippers that it has received gas “at certain receipt points” in Zones 1, 2 and 3 containing high concentrations of hexane and heavier components that may interfere with operation of pipeline facilities. If the composition of the gas containing the objectionable components does not change, FGT said it may be required to limit such receipts. “If necessary, FGT will advise of the specific locations where these limits may be imposed,” a bulletin board posting said Wednesday.

Northwest said it shut in the Piceance Quick Cycle receipt point Wednesday because of substandard gas quality. Supplies received from Piceance Quick Cycle were exceeding the pipeline’s hydrocarbon dew point limit of 25 degrees F.

Sonat said the offshore Main Pass 72 receipt point was shut in due to a leak on a third-party pipeline between the platform and Sonat’s line. A crew was on-site Friday to investigate the leak. Due to this work, Sonat was not scheduling gas from the point effective with Friday’s evening cycle until further notice.

NGPL reported discovering a gas quality problem at its El Paso-Washita receipt point in Washita County, OK. Effective with Saturday’s gas day, NGPL was not scheduling any transport volumes at the point until further notice.

NGPL reported discovery of a gas quality problem at the Amoco-Red Oak receipt point in Latimer County, OK. Effective today until further notice, NGPL will not be scheduling gas at the point.

Transportation Notes

Sonat said Monday it had completed temporary repairs to its Logansport, LA facilities. Gas flow was resumed for 59 upstream receipt points in the Logansport and Joaquin Fields that had been shut in by the work Saturday (see Daily GPI, April 23). Further evaluation is being done to develop a permanent repair plan, Sonat said.

Repairs on an A-Line leak at the GPM/NNG Farnsworth receipt point(see Daily GPI, Feb. 7), affecting15,000 MMBtu/d, have been extended, Northern Natural Gas saidWednesday. The work, formerly expected to be completed Wednesday, nowlikely will last until Saturday, NNG said.
