TransCanada began an open season Wednesday for firm services inthe categories of Firm Transportation, Storage TransportationService and Firm Service Tendered. Westcoast said it will not proceed with the Fort Nelson MainlineTransmission North (TN) expansion project that had been scheduledto be in service for the 2000-01 heating season. The pipeline’sdecision was based on response to a request for expressions ofinterest in TN capacity. Westcoast said it has met with shipperswho responded to the request and will re-evaluate the need for anexpansion early in 2001.
