MRT said it is issuing a System Protection Warning (SPW) Wednesday due to forecasts of warm weather in its service area. See the bulletin board for a list of SPW conditions.

Citing high linepack and forecasted high temperatures, MRT said a System Protection Warning (SPW) will take effect on its system Thursday. See the bulletin board for a list of SPW conditions.

Citing high linepack levels and excessive long imbalance positions by shippers, MRT amended a previous System Protection Warning (SPW) notice (see Daily GPI, Aug. 27) to have it begin last Friday instead of Saturday as previously posted and add conditions. MRT will not schedule any volumes that result in a daily long imbalance position while the SPW is in effect. See the bulletin board for other conditions. MRT also said systemwide and/or individual “Standard” OFOs may be necessary “requiring immediate compliance if shippers do not comply with the SPW or if actual delivery volumes deviate from nominated volumes such that long daily imbalance positions occur.”

Pacific Gas & Electric did not extend a systemwide high-inventory OFO beyond Saturday.

Effective with the start of Thursday’s gas day, MRT is lifting the System Protection Warning that was implemented last Saturday.

Florida Gas Transmission followed up on a Tuesday warning of a potential Overage Alert Day by actually issuing one Wednesday, citing forecasts of 90-degree weather in its Florida market area. The tolerance for negative daily imbalances was set at 25%.

MRT lifted Wednesday the System Protection Warning that was implemented June 1 (see Daily GPI, June 2).
