Rover Pipeline LLC has accused the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA) of attempting to stall the nearly completed 713-mile, 3.25 Bcf/d project by issuing a notice of violation (NOV) for illegitimate reasons.

Energy Transfer Partners LP (ETP) expects construction on Rover Pipeline to be completed this month and plans to seek FERC approval to put the last portion of the 3.25 Bcf/d pipeline into service by June 1, CEO Thomas Long said Thursday.

FERC on Wednesday gave Rover Pipeline LLC the green light to ramp up part of its second and final phase, bringing the 3.25 Bcf/d Appalachian natural gas takeaway project a step closer to full service, although the authorization was not expected to increase throughput capacity on the pipe.
