With forecasts of Florida temperatures remaining in the low 90s, Florida Gas Transmission extended an Overage Alert Day for market-area customers into its third day Thursday but loosened the tolerance for negative daily imbalances from 20% to 25%.

Saying they have limited operational flexibility to manage imbalances, from Saturday until the start of Tuesday’s gas day affiliated pipelines Texas Eastern, Algonquin and East Tennessee will not be allowing any nominations for make-up of due-pipe imbalances or that create due-shipper imbalances, “regardless of [the] shipper’s cumulative imbalance.”

Southern Star Central will rescind Sunday a Standard OFO. The pipeline also said an update to an Oct. 6 system notice about storage will take effect Sunday. Conditions include limiting firm injections to Maximum Daily Injection Quantity (MDIQ) and not allowing Authorized Overrun Service on firm injections. MDIQ overruns will be allowed on any nonphysical injections and transfer of gas already in storage, Southern Star said. Interruptible injections and incremental Park service are not allowed. See the bulletin board for other update criteria.

NOVA said pipe maintenance on its 36-inch diameter Western Alberta System was proceeding ahead of schedule and was expected to be completed by late Thursday evening, at which time Alberta/British Columbia delivery capacity would be returned to 2,768 MMcf/d. The prorated capacity for Thursday’s gas day was 2,200 MMcf/d, NOVA said.

ANR said Thursday it was beginning unplanned pipeline repairs north of Goodman Compressor Station, which it anticipates will last through Sunday and require that only Firm Primary nominations be scheduled for the Fortune Lake location. ANR also reported receiving two separate notices about its offshore data collection system in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM) that can potentially impact GOM measurement operations. STRATOS, the pipeline’s service provider in the Gulf, informed ANR that it would be relocating two microwave sites from their South Marsh Island (SMI) 130 and Eugene Island (EI) 331 locations, which directly affects ANR collection of measurement data at SMI 130. Additionally, the owner of the EI 42 facility plans to unman the platform and shut down the power generation facilities there, which will effectively disable ANR’s measurement collection process. ANR said it will manually collect the measurement data on a weekly basis until these issues are resolved. See the bulletin board for lists of affected meters.

Ongoing line work on its ML 68 segment is on schedule and was expected to be completed by the beginning of Friday’s gas day, Questar said.
