Transportation Notes

Florida Gas Transmission said Friday it is performing unscheduled maintenance on one of the three compressor units at its Sabine Pass (LA) interconnect with Transco. Starting with the Timely Cycle for Saturday’s gas day, FGT planned to reduce the interconnect capacity to 100,000 MMBtu/d. Current estimates indicate that the unit will be down for about two weeks. The pipeline also informed customers that operational capacity at its ANR interconnect in St. Landry Parish, LA was increased Friday from 125,000 Dth/d to 138,000 Dth/d until further notice. The capacity had been cut from its normal 250,000 MMBtu/d in mid-July due to reduced deliveries from ANR (see Daily GPI, July 16). An Overage Alert Day notice on FGT continued through at least Friday at 25% tolerance for negative imbalances.

Transportation Notes

Gulf South said Tuesday it had begun unscheduled maintenance on unit #7 at Montpelier Compressor Station in St. Helena Parish, LA that will continue until further notice. Scheduled work that started June 1 on the station’s Unit # 1, and which limited capacity north of Montpelier by as much as 75 MMcf/d, continues. Gulf South said the restriction could increase up to 150 MMcf/d while both engines are out of service.

Transportation Notes

Sonat has experienced another unscheduled outage of unknown duration at Olga Compressor Station in southeast Louisiana. It required a reduction in interruptible receipt (A-1 and/or IT) capacity on the 26-inch Main Pass Area line effective with Tuesday’s intra-day 1 cycle. The latest outage is the fourth in a series over the past couple of months (see Daily GPI, April 1, March 17 and Feb. 13).

Sonat reported experiencing an unscheduled outage at its Olga (LA) Compressor Station that required a reduction in interruptible receipt (A-1 and/or IT) capacity on the 26-inch Main Pass Area line, effective with Tuesday’s evening cycle nominations until further notice. Repair plans are being developed, the pipeline said, but the duration of the outage is unknown at this time.

Florida Gas Transmission has begun unscheduled maintenance on one of the two compressor units at its Transco St. Helena interconnect in South Louisiana, requiring a reduction of capacity at the point to 15,000 MMBtu/d starting Wednesday. Current estimates indicate that the unit will be down for seven to eight days, FGT said.

Transportation Notes

Gulf South said Tuesday that unscheduled maintenance on Index 129 (Agua Dulce 24-inch line in South Texas) has been extended until further notice and that capacity through the Refugio Compressor Station will continue to be affected by as much as 50 MMcf/d. The original posting on the work anticipated that it would be completed Oct. 17 (see Daily GPI, Oct. 6).

Transportation Notes

CenterPoint issued an Operational Alert after Unit #2 at Delhi Compressor Station went down for unscheduled repairs Monday morning. The outage is a force majeure condition and is expected to last until Oct. 11. It limits the ColumbiaGulf/Perryville delivery point in northwest Louisiana to 270,000 Dth/d, CenterPoint said. No interruptible deliveries will be scheduled during this time and firm delivery nominations will be reduced as necessary.

Sonat reported an unscheduled outage on Logansport Field Line 43 upstream of Logansport Compressor Station in the North Louisiana production area. As a result of the force majeure event, the pipeline said, no nominations from the Logansport Oxy R/S 4 receipt point were being accepted Friday until further notice.

Transportation Notes

Part of Line 1102 between the Plains and Dimmitt Stations has been shut down for unscheduled repairs, the duration of which is not yet known, El Paso said Thursday. The capacity of Line 1102 from Plains north was cut by 150 MMcf/d effective with Thursday’s Cycle 3 nominations until further notice. The remaining capacity is about 10 MMcf/d less than the average scheduled volumes so far in August, the pipeline said.

Transportation Notes

Sonat reported Wednesday experiencing an unscheduled outage of the Tarrant Compressor Station in Birmingham, AL, due to flooding. No interruption to firm service was expected, but Sonat said it might not be able to accept all nominations for interruptible service (B-1 and IT) on the North System in Zones 2 and 3 until further notice.
