Gulf South said Tuesday it had begun unscheduled maintenance on unit #7 at Montpelier Compressor Station in St. Helena Parish, LA that will continue until further notice. Scheduled work that started June 1 on the station’s Unit # 1, and which limited capacity north of Montpelier by as much as 75 MMcf/d, continues. Gulf South said the restriction could increase up to 150 MMcf/d while both engines are out of service.

Saying gas tendered to its system at the interconnect with Enbridge Offshore Pipelines (UTOS) LLC does not meet tariff merchantability requirements, Transco will restrict receipts at the UTOS interconnect to 100,000 Dth/d starting Friday to ensure that adequate quantities are being processed.

Uintah County officials in Utah will be replacing the White River Bridge next month, and to facilitate the work, Questar will take its ML 40 segment out of service through this area July 13-14. Four points must be shut in for those two gas days. As a result of the ML 40 outage, Questar expects that the West Fidlar scheduling point will be used. Based on current nominations, approximately 45% of flexed nominations will be cut using this point, the pipeline said.

Operator Northern Natural Gas will perform pigging operations July 7-21 on the Matagorda Offshore Pipeline System. It expects to collect large amounts of liquids from the pigging activity. Receipts at 23 MOPS points and deliveries at eight points will be shut in during the project.

Citing a continuing effort to levelize the monthly Transporter’s Use Percentages for its shippers, Great Lakes Gas Transmission is making a request for proposals (RFP) for this year’s second and final portion of its annual operational gas exchange. Great Lakes wants to enter into arrangements to receive an additional 1.25 Bcf into its system during the remainder of the summer 2004 period and deliver an equivalent amount of gas back during the 2004/2005 winter period.
