A day after lifting a systemwide Stage 2 high-inventory OFO, Pacific Gas & Electric issued a new one for Saturday’s gas day. Penalties of $1/Dth were unchanged, but the tolerance for positive daily imbalances was loosened a bit from zero in the previous OFO to 2%.

El Paso: All Systems Clear at Its End for Service Conversion on May 1

Responding to pleas for either a deferral or stay of systemwide contract conversion on its pipeline, El Paso Natural Gas said last week that “for the record” it is prepared to switch full requirements (FR) service to contract demand (CD) service by the FERC-ordered deadline of May 1, and under the terms outlined by the agency last September.

Transportation Notes

Transco lifted Wednesday a systemwide Imbalance OFO that had taken effect Feb. 27 (see Daily GPI, Feb. 27). The pipeline continues to bar scheduling of make-up delivery transactions and to enforce a 1% tolerance on negative imbalances at pooling points.

Transportation Notes

As it had warned might be necessary (see Daily GPI, Feb. 26), Transco said a systemwide Imbalance OFO will take effect with the start of Thursday’s gas day. Limits on imbalance delivery make-up nominations and pooling point tolerances remain in effect until further notice. The OFO limits negative daily imbalances to 5%. Positive imbalances are not subject to OFO provisions.
