Only two days after announcing completion of repairs at Olga Compressor Station in southeast Louisiana (see Daily GPI, March 30), Sonat said Wednesday it had experienced a new unscheduled outage at Olga that again requires a reduction in interruptible receipt (A-1 and/or IT) capacity on the 26-inch Main Pass Area line until further notice.

Sonat reported experiencing an unscheduled outage at its Olga (LA) Compressor Station that required a reduction in interruptible receipt (A-1 and/or IT) capacity on the 26-inch Main Pass Area line, effective with Tuesday’s evening cycle nominations until further notice. Repair plans are being developed, the pipeline said, but the duration of the outage is unknown at this time.

Sonat implemented a systemwide OFO Type 6 for short imbalances effective Saturday until further notice. Tiered penalties of $1-15/Dth were applicable for negative daily imbalances exceeding a tolerance of 2% or 200 dekatherms, whichever was greater. Positive imbalances were unaffected. It was “highly likely” that the OFO would continue through Sunday, the pipeline said, but “too close to call” for Monday.

Sonat reported an unscheduled outage on Logansport Field Line 43 upstream of Logansport Compressor Station in the North Louisiana production area. As a result of the force majeure event, the pipeline said, no nominations from the Logansport Oxy R/S 4 receipt point were being accepted Friday until further notice.
