NGPL reported discovering a gas quality problem at its El Paso-Washita receipt point in Washita County, OK. Effective with Saturday’s gas day, NGPL was not scheduling any transport volumes at the point until further notice.

FERC OKs More Compression For Northwest

FERC last week issued Northwest Pipeline a blanket certificate to install and operate three existing portable compressor units as needed to help offset the heavy demands that have been placed on certain shippers by the pipeline’s continual operational flow orders (OFOs).

Southern California Gas Co. (SoCalGas) launched its newestversion of GasSelect, an automated gas scheduling and energymanagement system. The e-commerce application is available tosubscribers through www.gasselect.com for real-time submission ofgas nominations, trading gas delivery imbalances in a secondarymarket, and for gas consumption information from electronic metersinstalled at customer sites. GasSelect is used to manage thedelivery of 1 Tcf into Southern California for both SoCalGas andSan Diego Gas & Electric.

NGPL expected to complete maintenance between Stations 167 and169 on the Amarillo Mainline sometime Tuesday and was tentativelyscheduling nominations through the area for today’s gas day.

El Paso said effective March 1 it will offer four dailyscheduling cyles instead of two, additional reduction codes,enhanced pooling, enhanced bumping for firm shippers and extra helpmatching up DUNS numbers at certain points on the line.
