Transco said restrictions on pool scheduling tolerances and due-shipper imbalance make-ups, implemented Jan. 21, would be lifted effective Sunday (Jan. 30). Tolerances were to be restored from the 1% limit to the normal 4%, and due-shipper transactions would be allowed again. Transco said it also would begin accepting excess storage withdrawal requests under Rate Schedules GSS or WSS Sunday, but would not accept requests for additional loan activity or return of parked gas under Rate Schedule PAL.
EEA: Gas Market Could Remain at Full Throttle Over Next Two Years
While congressmen and regulators are busy scheduling investigations into high gas prices, consultants at Energy and Environmental Analysis Inc. (EEA) reiterated in their most recent Monthly Gas Update that they have been expounding the view of prevailing gas market tightness since the late 1990s. “To put it bluntly, barring real warm winter weather or a deep recession, five dollar per MMBtu plus natural gas prices are here to stay for the next few years,” EEA said.

Compressor failure has cut Fidlar Station capacity to 90,000-100,000 Dth/d until Nov. 21 or further notice, Questar said. Shippers may reduce adverse scheduling impact by using the TransColorado delivery point, it added.

NGPL said gas quality problems that arose at two receipt points over the weekend have been resolved. It was scheduling at normal levels Monday for the Enogex-Latimer and EPGT-Panola points in Latimer County, OK and Panola County, TX respectively.

Transco lifted Wednesday a systemwide Imbalance OFO that had taken effect Feb. 27 (see Daily GPI, Feb. 27). The pipeline continues to bar scheduling of make-up delivery transactions and to enforce a 1% tolerance on negative imbalances at pooling points.
