Northern Natural Gas reported experiencing a force majeure event Thursday at its storage facility in Lyons, KS. “This event has resulted in the need for injections at the facility to be shut in for an undetermined amount of time. As a result, some allocation of interruptible storage nominations may be necessary,” NNG said.

Questar reported experiencing a mechanical failure of unit #5 at its Clay Basin storage facility Sunday evening, and as a result, injection capacity was reduced by 20,000 Dth/d to 350,000 Dth/d for Tuesday’s gas day. The restriction will continue until repairs are completed.

Sonat reported experiencing an unscheduled outage at its Olga (LA) Compressor Station that required a reduction in interruptible receipt (A-1 and/or IT) capacity on the 26-inch Main Pass Area line, effective with Tuesday’s evening cycle nominations until further notice. Repair plans are being developed, the pipeline said, but the duration of the outage is unknown at this time.

Citing recent low temperatures and production losses in northeast British Columbia, Westcoast said Tuesday it was “experiencing extremely low linepack conditions.” In order to protect operational integrity, the pipeline said shippers’ account availabilities at all receipt points would be limited to their current production levels effective immediately. Account availabilities will be adjusted as production levels increase or decrease, Westcoast said. Kern River reported Tuesday afternoon being informed that due to problems with the Jonah Field’s supply of gas to the Opal Plant, cuts were likely in that day’s 4th nominations cycle. Shippers were urged to call suppliers to see if a supply realignment was necessary.

Transwestern reported experiencing an unspecified force majeure event around midday Wednesday at the Gallup (NM) Compressor Station. A unit is down and teams are evaluating the situation, the pipeline said. As a precautionary measure, Transwestern began allocating approximately 81,000 MMBtu/d of receipt volumes on the San Juan Lateral (cutting lateral capacity to 800,000 MMBtu/d) for Wednesday’s gas day and until further notice.
