Houston-based Carrizo Oil & Gas Inc. has drilled its Riverdale #2 well in the Cabeza Creek Project area in Goliad County, TX, which tested at an unstimulated gross rate of 7,524 Mcf /d and 146 bbl/d, or 8,400 Mcfe/d, on a 18/64-inch choke with flowing tubing pressure of about 4,050 pounds per square inch. The test was done in a Wilcox zone with 36 feet of net pay. Carrizo is operator and owns a 68.75% working interest. It currently is working on a pipeline hookup and expects the well to begin production in the next two weeks. Three additional wells are expected to be necessary to fully develop the Riverdale project, the company said. Other partners include Palace Exploration, which owns a 30% working interest.

Esenjay Exploration Inc. has completed and tested its Runnells #5 well in the deep geo-pressured Frio Trend in Matagorda County, TX, which production tested at an unstimulated daily flow rate of 21 MMcf and 710 bbl of condensate, with flowing tubing pressure of 7,436 pounds per square inch through a 25/64-inch choke. Esenjay, headquartered in Houston, is the generator and operator, and owns a 33% working interest. Esenjay turned the Runnells #5 well to sales and it is currently producing at a daily rate of 18 MMcf and 580 bbl of condensate. Combined, the company’s Runnells #5 and #3 wells are producing 31 MMcf/d and 1,052 bbl/d of condensate. Both wells have additional pay behind pipe.

Transportation Notes

NGPL reported completion of repairs on a leak discovered late last week on its A/G Line in Bryan County, OK (see Daily GPI, Aug. 14). The pipeline resumed scheduling of ITS/AOR and Secondary transport volumes through Stations 109, 110 and 801 Thursday.

Dynegy Marketing Sued by Georgia Natural Gas Co.

Atlanta-based Georgia Natural Gas Co.(GNGC) has filed a complaint on behalf of SouthStar Energy Services LLC in Georgia’s Fulton County Superior Court to compel Dynegy Marketing and Trade to provide a “full and fair accounting” of its activities as the asset manager for SouthStar. The lawsuit alleges that Dynegy, despite “repeated requests,” has failed to provide necessary documentation and records of purchase and sales transactions.

NGPL reported discovery of a gas quality problem at the Amoco-Red Oak receipt point in Latimer County, OK. Effective today until further notice, NGPL will not be scheduling gas at the point.

El Paso will shut in Line 3079 (Lusk Line) in Lea County, NM, today for repairs. There will be no flow between Valve 1 and Lusk, affecting the IGCNMLSK, IMEWLUSK and IPHFUEL1 interconnects and any supplies south of Lusk destined for the San Juan Crossover. An Unauthorized Overpull Penalty situation remained in effect Tuesday for the El Paso system.

Ltd., filed an application with the California Public Utilities Commission last week to double the field’s size and triple the withdrawal capacity.

Williams Plans Washington Lateral

Williams is holding an open season to gather market interest in capacity on its proposed Gray’s Harbor Lateral in Thurston County, WA. The lateral, which would extend off of Northwest Pipeline’s mainline near Vail, is being designed primarily to serve a new electric generation plant in the Sarsop Development park near Elma, WA. The first 36 miles of the 48-mile line will parallel Northwest’s existing Olympia and McCleary laterals.
