CIG declared force majure late Friday afternoon at its mainlineRawlins Compressor Station in Carbon County, WY after a compressorengine experienced problems and had to be taken out of service. CIGanticipates having the unit back in service by the April 7 gas day.There was no impact on scheduled services, a spokesman said Monday.

Tengasco Completes Intrastate TN Pipeline

Tengasco has completed a 60-mile intrastate pipeline from itsgas-rich 50,000-acre Swan Creek gas and oil field beginning inHancock County and ending in Kingsport, TN. Geological studiesindicate that the Swan Creek field may be one of the largestnatural gas and oil discoveries in the Appalachian region of theUnited States.

El Paso said Wednesday a maintenance outage of Line 3110 inHoward County, TX is now scheduled for March 10-14. The pipelinepreviously had said the work would occur March 5-11 (see Daily GPI,Feb. 27). The IVEALMOR interconnect will not be able to deliver anygas into El Paso during the outage.

The maintenance period, which beganOct. 20, 2000 and was originally scheduled to end Dec. 1, 2000, wasextended several times (see Daily GPI, Jan.24).

Honeoye Storage is holding a open season for firm storage servicefor up to five years at its Ontario County, NY facility. Up to 1,471MDth is available, starting as early as April, with a maximuminjection rate of 20,000 Dth/d and a withdrawal rate of 12,500Dth/d. The open season runs through Feb. 16. The facility connectswith Tennessee Gas and New York State Electric & Gas. Customersmake their own transportation arrangements. Storage service firstbegan at Honeoye, just south of Rochester, NY, in 1975 and five of itsoriginal customers continue to receive 4,293 MDth of service. TheHoneoye facility is owned by affiliates of KeySpan Energy,Consolidated Edison of New York, and its three developers, DaveDonohue, Dick Norman and Jacek Makowski. More natural gas transportation and storage capacity is on theway in Alabama as Bay Gas Storage Co. Ltd. released its plans for a24-inch pipeline in Mobile County which began construction in lateNovember. The EnergySouth subsidiary also has an additional saltdome storage cavern under construction.

Ltd. released its plans forconstruction of a 24-inch pipeline in Mobile County which willcommence before the month is finished. The EnergySouth subsidiaryalso has an additional salt dome storage cavern under construction.
