Northern Natural Gas declared a System Overrun Limitation for all market-area zones (ABC, D and E/F), effective Thursday.

Based on the weather forecast and projected system demand, Sonat said eight delivery groups will be subject to an OFO Type 3 effective with the start of Friday’s gas day until further notice. Penalties of $15/Dth will be assessed on any shipper whose allocated deliveries within the groups exceed 102% of its daily entitlement. Sonat also will begin allocating/limiting interruptible capacity Friday in four other groups.

Kern River said Wednesday it has learned that Jonah Field behind the Opal (WY) Plant is experiencing compressor problems and advised shippers to call their suppliers “to see if a supply realignment is necessary.”

El Paso‘s Line 1102 between Amarillo and Dumas Stations will be out of service for piping modifications Jan. 22, reducing capacity north of Amarillo by 100 MMcf/d for the day. Based on recent demand, the remaining available capacity will satisfy requirements, El Paso said. For an eight-hour period, the pipeline will not make deliveries to the INNDUMAS, INGPLMOR, IPINBORG, IWTGAMER, ICANUTE, INGPLW#7 and ICOMINCO interconnects. However, El Paso said it will resume deliveries when the work is complete “and should be able to make scheduled rates by day’s end.”

TransCanada is taking bids through 10 a.m. MST Friday for temporary reassignment of 100,000 Dth/d of firm capacity that it holds on Great Lakes Gas Transmission between the Emerson receipt point and St. Clair delivery point. The term of the reassignment is Feb. 1 to March 31 of this year. Minimum bid prices are (U.S. currency) 20 cents/Dth/d or $6.084/Dth/month. Bids may be for all or a portion of the total volume.
