El Paso said it was completing installation of pigging facilities on Line 1200 between Gallup Station and Valve City Wednesday. Work on the segment between Valve City and Window Rock Station is still in progress, but should be completed Saturday as originally scheduled. As a result San Juan Basin capacity was increased by 100 MMcf/d effective with Thursday’s Cycle 1 nominations. A capacity reduction of 135 MMcf/d on the North Mainline was to continue as scheduled through Friday. The pipeline also said Bowie Station turbine repairs have been more extensive than anticipated, a 50 MMcf/d capacity cut on the South Mainline at Waha will be extended through Aug. 31.

Northwest began cutting northbound alternate nominations in the Timely 1 cycle Wednesday to allow for system balancing. The pipeline said the situation “will be evaluated daily to determine if alternate volumes can be allowed to schedule on the intraday cycles.”

Tennessee reported completion of a project to replace Mainline Valves (MLV) 6, 7 and 8 on Line 1 in South Texas and restored service at 10 meters Wednesday. Rain, forecasted to last through Thursday, halted work on the project to lower Line 507G-500, the pipeline said. It anticipates returning that line to service Friday. Until then physical flow remains suspended at the SW Jefferson Isle and Tigre Lagoon Dehyd meters. Tennessee also noted it is installing MLVs and line crossovers between MLV 530 and MLV 534. This project was scheduled for completion on Aug. 19, but during its execution, the inspection of below-grade piping at the MLV locations revealed the need to refurbish existing blow-off piping. The additional work will extend the project through the end of August. The 500 Line will continue to operate with reduced capacity until Aug. 26 and thus Tennessee anticipates continuing the current seal on services upstream of MLV 534 through Aug. 26.
