Reporting high linepack in all four segments, Kern River said Sunday it was imperative that operators take delivery of scheduled quantities and not bank any gas on the system. It also encouraged customers to schedule due-shipper delivery paybacks.

Transco said Monday operating conditions had improved enough to allow the return of scheduling tolerances at all pooling points to 4% effective with the start of Tuesday’s gas day; tolerances had been limited to 1% since Saturday (see Daily GPI, Aug. 9). Additionally, Transco will again allow scheduling of due-pipeline imbalance make-up quantities.

Westcoast said it had successfully excavated and repaired a leak on the 16-inch Grizzly Valley Extension (see Daily GPI, Aug. 6) and the line was back in service late Thursday night.

Reflecting higher linepack levels than desired, NOVA changed its imbalance tolerances to 0/-4 effective with the start of Sunday’s gas day, but returned them to the normal +4/-4 Monday morning.

Sonat will host a conference call starting at 1:30 p.m. CDT Tuesday (Aug. 10) to update customers regarding the Toca I processing plant outage and the associated gas quality limitation and OFO penalties (see Daily GPI, Aug. 3). Participants must call toll-free number (888) 560-7328 and enter passcode 905094 followed by the pound sign (#) after making contact. Names should be announced on entry, but exits may be silent. Customers were asked to consolidate calls and use the least number of lines possible, allowing accommodation of all customers. For more information about the conference call, contact Linda Fortenberry at (205) 325-7112 or Peggy Jones at -3854.
