Citing the “extremely cold weather” forecast for its market area, CIG declared a Strained Operating Condition that took effect Friday until further notice. The pipeline anticipated “very limited ability to handle imbalances caused by variations between scheduled receipts and deliveries and actual gas flow,” especially during the weather conditions that had been predicted for Friday and Saturday. As of Friday CIG did not anticipate any need to issue an OFO as long as receipt shortage or delivery overage imbalances did not occur.

Northern Natural Gas said Friday a System Overrun Limitation notice for all market-area zones, which it implemented last Monday, would remain in effect through at least Sunday (March 3).

Due to forecasted colder weather and an anticipated significant increase in nominations, Tennessee said it would begin enforcing MAV (Maximum Allowed Volume) in market-area Zones 5 and 6 effective Sunday until further notice.

Florida Gas Transmission ended Friday an Overage Alert Day notice that had begun Tuesday. FGT will begin upgrade work tomorrow at the Tennessee Carnes interconnect upstream of Station 10. The maintenance is scheduled to last 23 days, during which FGT will limit scheduled volumes at the interconnect to 30,000 MMBtu/d.

Reliant is keeping its system under a Critical Period alert (see Daily GPI, Feb. 27) through today and until further notice.
