Total Opal Plant tailgate nominations to interconnecting pipelines (Northwest, Kern River and CIG) will be cut by 350,000-370,000 dekatherms today due to tie-in work being performed by the operator of the Jonah Field. In conjunction with the Jonah work, Williams Field Services has scheduled a tie-in to be completed by Thursday morning, but it is not expected to required any additional reductions in nominations.

El Paso will shut in Line 3162 in Winkler County, TX for maintenance Dec. 8. There will be no flow from Keystone Station to Waha during the outage.

Having gotten FERC approval last May, CIG said late Friday it has constructed the necessary compressor modifications at its Ft. Morgan Storage Field to allow an increase of available working inventory through the abandonment and sale of some existing base gas. To complete reclassification of base gas inventory and to make the related increase in working gas capacity available for customer use, CIG has begun the in-place sale of 637,800 dekatherms. It is taking fixed-price bids through 2 p.m. MST Friday. All parties submitting bids must either have an existing storage contract with the pipeline or agree to contract for interruptible storage service (Rate Schedule IS-1) at the currently posted maximum rates. Access to purchased storage will become effective Jan. 1, 2002. Call Greg Ruben at (719) 520-4870 or Greg Gettman at -4553 for more information.
