Although Destin lifted Thursday morning a force majeure that it had declared two days earlier due to issues at an onshore liquids handling facility (see Daily GPI, Sept. 1), that afternoon it reported being unable to provide transportation services from its offshore receipt points due to the approach of a tropical depression (which became Tropical Storm Lee on Friday). Onshore receipt and delivery points were not affected.

Northwest said effective last Thursday until further notice, it is no longer accepting injection requests for interruptible storage (SGS-2I accounts) at Jackson Prairie Storage Facility. In addition, all SGS-2I storage holders at Jackson Prairie must bring their balances to zero by the end of the Sept. 15 gas day, the pipeline said.

Based on operating pressures at the location, CIG said it planned to reduce west-to-east operational capacity at the Opal Lateral South Constraint in Wyoming from 150 MMcf/d to 130 MMcf/d effective Saturday (Sept. 3) until further notice.

ANR reported resolving gas quality issues at the KIOWA INT point on its Southwest Mainline and had lifted all associated capacity restrictions.

Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) said its California Gas Transmission system “continues to take pressure reductions” as part of PG&E’s efforts to satisfy regulators that the dual utility is ensuring safe and reliable operation of its natural gas transmission system. A further pressure reduction, to take effect Saturday (Sept. 3), would not further reduce Baja Path capacity, PG&E said, but will decrease the amount of gas that can flow off-system at Kern River Station to Southern California Gas to 40 MMcf/d “for the foreseeable future.”

El Paso has posted a frequently asked questions report for shippers about remediation work on Line 1102 between the Amarillo and Dumas compressor stations that is scheduled in two phases for Tuesday through Sept. 25. See the bulletin board for details.

Millennium said due to planned maintenance Wednesday and Thursday by Stagecoach Storage, the Millennium/Stagecoach interconnect will be unavailable for those days. Millennium asked its shippers to secure supplies at an alternative receipt location during the outage, adding that its deliverability to eastern markets “preliminarily” will be limited to 325,000 Dth/d. The restricted segment will be “Wagoner East,” Millennium said, which is just downstream of its Wagoner interconnect with Columbia Gas.
