Pacific Gas & Electric is allowing a systemwide Stage 2 low-inventory OFO that had been in effect for the previous two days to expire Wednesday.

CIG said an OFO will be implemented Wednesday until further notice. The two storage fields on its northern system are at or near operational limits, including the largest field, Ft. Morgan, CIG said. Its southern system storage fields are at “relatively lower inventory levels,” the pipeline said. “To insure the appropriate distribution of CIG’s firm No Notice storage inventory, CIG must move additional gas to the southern fields for injection.” In addition to the storage situation, CIG is operating “at an extremely high load factor,” it said in announcing other restrictions (see the bulletin board for details).
