With forecasts calling for near-freezing weather in northern Florida that night, Florida Gas Transmission (FGT) issued an Overage Alert Day for market-area customers Thursday. The tolerance for negative daily imbalances was set at 25%. FGT said it would not interrupt previously scheduled market-area ITS-1 service below the elapsed prorated scheduled quantity.

Northern Natural Gas is ending Friday a System Overrun Limitation for all market-area zones that had been in effect since Jan. 17.

MRT will lift Friday the System Protection Warning that was implemented Jan. 18.

As it had announced (see Daily GPI, Jan. 23), Southern Natural Gas reinstated a systemwide OFO Type 6 for short imbalances Thursday until further notice. However, citing a revised weather forecast and projected demand, Southern canceled plans to also issue an OFO Type 3 for the Savannah and Cypress Line groups Thursday.

Tennessee declared a force majeure event Thursday in conjunction with a possible leak on the TTT Pipeline offshore Louisiana. Six Eugene Island meters and four Ship Shoal meters were required to shut in until further notice.

Transco said it will rescind a ban on due-shipper imbalance makeup nominations Saturday. It also will restore the pool scheduling tolerance to its normal 4% and allow incremental loan services and the return of parked gas.

Effective Friday, Northwest is lifting a Declared Entitlement for Overruns for all Receiving Parties south of the Plymouth Compressor Station. The Stage II Overrun Entitlement for Receiving Parties north of the station, including all laterals north and west of Plymouth, will remain in place with an 8% imbalance tolerance until further notice.

Gulf South will begin scheduled maintenance Friday on Carthage Junction Compressor Station’s Units 1, 2 and 3 with one unit down at a time for approximately 14 days each. Capacity through Carthage Junction could be reduced by as much as 75,000 Dth/d during this work, Gulf South said.

TGT now expects to complete maintenance at the Youngsville (LA) Compressor Station, which began last September, on Feb. 15. Capacity in the Youngsville East segment will remain reduced to 563,000 MMBtu/d until the work is finished. As the new year began TGT had anticipated a Jan. 31 completion (see Daily GPI, Jan. 3).
