Northwest lifted Thursday the Recall Advisory along with the contract-specific Realignment and Must-flow OFOs that had been implemented Wednesday on flows through the Plymouth South Constraint Point (see Daily GPI, Dec. 5). “Due to shippers’ voluntary cooperation in realigning supplies north of Plymouth, the primary firm nominations north through Plymouth have declined to a level Northwest can physically accommodate,” the pipeline said.

Internal inspection of a crossfire tube at Kelso Compressor Station will result in a loss of 100 MMcf/d of border receipt capacity at the North Needles interconnect with Transwestern for the Dec. 11 gas day, Southern California Gas said.

To assist customers in planning for early winter gas supplies, Questar provided an update on the status of the Clay Basin Dew Point Project, which is a processing plant for its Clay Basin storage facility. Work is progressing on all major components of the plant, Questar said, and it is working with vendors on specialized equipment that is expected to arrive within four to six weeks. Valves to connect major piping to the new facilities were installed during shut-in testing of Clay Basin in October, the pipeline added. Work is under way on a natural gas liquids (NGL) tie-in to an Enterprise Products Partners pipeline, which will eliminate the need for trucking NGLs from the plant, a Questar spokesman said. The processing plant’s projected in-service date for full capacity of 330,000 Dth/d is mid-to-late February 2008. Until the additional processing facilities are available, Questar said, it will have 185,000 Dth/d of processed gas with a cricondentherm hydrocarbon dew point (CHDP) of 15 degrees Fahrenheit available for withdrawal on the Northwest Pipeline side of Clay Basin. Based on the actual measured CHDP of the gas stream, up to 220,000 Dth/d may be available during the early part of the withdrawal season. Questar said it is working with Northwest to maximize the volume of gas available to Northwest’s side of Clay Basin. A further update will be posted as additional CHDP and volume data becomes available or blending conditions on Northwest allow that pipeline to accept higher CHDP gas.
