Citing forecasts of “extremely warm weather” for its service area, MRT said a System Protection Warning (SPW) will take effect at the start of Tuesday’s gas day until further notice. Under the SPW, all shippers must balance receipts and deliveries, and MRT said it will not allow imbalances that result in an overdelivery of supplies into its system.

East Tennessee Natural Gas said “certain shippers” continue to maintain significant due-shipper imbalances on its system even though force balancing letters have been tendered to them. If those shippers do not act immediately action to reduce their due-shipper imbalance positions, East Tennessee said it will commence force balancing of their accounts Tuesday.

Xcel Energy asked customers in the central and southern mountain service territories of its Public Service Co. of Colorado utility to conserve natural gas usage through 10 p.m. MST last Saturday following a line break near Pagosa Springs, CO. They were requested to lower thermostats by three to five degrees and to refrain from using other natural gas appliances. The break happened in a remote area and caused no injuries or other property damage. Line repairs were completed Saturday night, a spokesman said. According to news reports, the break may have been caused by shifting ground or a landslide.

Indicating falling linepack levels, NOVA changed its imbalance tolerance range to +4/0 Monday.

Gulf South has scheduled one day of pigging for March 7 on Index 131, its 12-inch diameter line from Lafayette to Weeks Island in South Louisiana. Lake Charles Area (Capacity Allocation Area 6) receipt capacity could be affected as much as 20 MMcf/d during this work, Gulf South said.

Effective with Evening Cycle nominations for the March 1 gas day and until further notice, Tennessee anticipates adjusting each Supply Aggregation (SA) contract to a tolerance of plus or minus 100 dekatherms. Receipts into the pool will be adjusted based on rankings provided on the receipt side of the SA contract. Deliveries from the pool will be adjusted based on the rankings provided on the delivery side of the SA contract. Market Aggregation contracts will continue to be adjusted to a tolerance of zero dekatherms.

NGPL will be making piping revisions at Station 303 in Angelina County, TX during the March 21-28 period to make the station capable of reverse flow. The station will not be available for compression, which will reduce southbound capacity through the station. Southbound ITS/AOR, Secondary out-of-path, Secondary in-path and Primary transport services may be at risk during this outage.
