Transwestern said Sunday it declared force majeure after experiencing a mechanical failure on Unit #1 at Crawford Compressor Station on the West Texas Lateral. Station capacity was reduced to about 32,000 MMBtu/d from the normal 60,000 MMBtu/d until the unit can be replaced. A replacement compressor will be available for service Thursday, Transwestern said, adding that it is working with customers to reroute affected gas to other receipt points.

Florida Gas Transmission said current operating conditions at the ANR St. Landry/FGT interconnect in South Louisiana are resulting in consistent flow of about 150,000 MMBtu/d. Until operational conditions change, FGT said, it will only schedule up to 150,000 MMBtu/d at this interconnect, wheri it normally schedules up to 200,000 MMBtu/d.

Transco reported receiving requests for a total of 256,000 Dth/d of capacity during an open season late last year for its proposed Sentinel Expansion Project (see Daily GPI, Nov. 1, 2005). The pipeline said it is evaluating the facility requirements to request this capacity and is in the process of negotiating agreements with parties who submitted requests during the open season.
