Sonat said Tuesday it has identified a need for unscheduled maintenance on one of three compressor units at its Muldon Storage Field in Mississippi. Based on the best information available, it projected that the unit would return to service Friday evening. It did not estimate whether there would be any service impact.

NGPL reported getting no conforming bids in an open season that ended March 21 for incremental Gulf Coast NSS capacity in connection with its proposed expansion of the North Lansing storage field in Harrison County, TX (see Daily GPI, March 1). The pipeline said it has been evaluating nonconforming bids “on a not unduly discriminatory basis” since the close of the season, and this has resulted in an award of capacity and the execution of several precedent agreements. NGPL “continues to work with shippers to remove outstanding bid contingencies and hopes to award the balance of the expansion capacity,” it said. In this context, the pipeline is extending the date by which all precedent agreements must be fully executed to April 20.

El Paso said it had recalculated the capacity impact of maintenance, based on current operating conditions, on Wenden Station that was stated in a preliminary notice. The work will reduce capacity of the Havasu Crossover from Wednesday through April 15 by 170 MMcf/d (from a base capacity of 670 MMcf/d).
