Across the Kinder Morgan Inc. companies there are more than $12 billion worth of expansion projects and joint ventures (JV) identified. One of them, conversion of a portion of the El Paso Natural Gas Co. (EPNG) pipeline to oil service is advancing, and a new gas pipeline opportunity is on the radar, said CEO Richard Kinder.

Expanding its assets in an area of its primary focus, Midland, TX-based Legacy Reserves LP said Wednesday it has agreed with Concho Resources Inc. to buy $520 million of Concho’s holdings in the Permian Basin. Legacy said it hopes to close the deal before the end of this year.

Test well results and micro-seismic analysis have identified more than 200 drilling locations in the Mondak in the Upper Bakken Shale, according to initial drilling results released Thursday by Calgary, Alberta-based PetroShale.

The locations range from Arkansas to Wisconsin, and Florida to Washington state. Clean Energy now has specified 98 locations in 37 states. The company raised $450 million last year to help fund its development of a national LNG/CNG transportation fueling network (see Daily GPI, Aug. 29, 2011).
