Citing low linepack and near-freezing temperatures in the northern half of its Florida market area, Florida Gas Transmission issued an Overage Alert Day notice Friday with 25% tolerance for negative daily imbalances.

Tennessee declared force majeure Friday after identifying a leak on the South Pass 77 527A-700 line in Zone L on the 500 Leg. Until further notice, physical flow will be shut in for the South Pass 77A meter. Tennessee said it was allowing nominations at that point to remain in place for Friday through Monday, but shippers will be required to reduce their nominations to zero for Tuesday’s Timely Cycle. Impacted production is about 40,000 Dth/d.

Tennessee also reported Friday that repairs on a leak near Ship Shoal 157 on Line 523M-100 (the 26-inch line between Ship Shoal 198 and Station 523 at Cocodrie, LA) were nearing completion and it was accepting nominations on the line for Saturday’s gas day. Tennessee said the operators of 22 shut-in meters could expect to be contacted by the pipeline’s field personnel when physical flow would be allowed to resume at those meters.

Due to mechanical difficulties, Pepper Station’s #2 compressor went down earlier this month and will remain out of service until further notice, Dominion said Friday. Because of rising field pressures in Bubbles 4202 and 4203 behind Pepper Station, Dominion required that production volumes in those bubbles be reduced by 40% effective immediately.

Westcoast, which has been encouraging drafting of its system for some time by setting an imbalance tolerance range of zero pack and 20% draft, had a normal range of 10%/10% in place for Saturday’s gas day.

El Paso posted a very extensive preliminary list of maintenance projects scheduled during April. See the bulletin board for details about varying daily curtailments that will affect many segments of the pipeline.
