Gathering TransCanada has received significant market interestfor a 227 MMcf/d expansion of its Nova Gas Transmission system and216 MMcf/d of its B.C. System. It will make the necessaryregulatory filings when it has the signed contracts in hand.

TransCanada had announced it was considering expansions in lateFebruary (see Daily GPI, Feb. 26). It has targeted Nov. 1, 2002 tohave the new facilities in service.

TransCanada said it had received inquiries regarding thepotential for expansion of new firm delivery service on the NGTLSystem at the Alberta / British Columbia border and on the B.C.System from A/BC to the interconnect with PG&E GT Northwest(GTN), at Kingsgate B.C./Eastport, Idaho. These inquiries had beendriven primarily, but not exclusively, by the GTN open season foradditional capacity into the Pacific Northwest, and California. Thepipeline said it polled its customers about any capacity they mightturn back when existing contracts expire, as well as their expandedneeds going forward.
