”Goldilocks’ weather in terms of Lower 48 natural gas demand produced a mix of mostly small spot price moves for the week ended Friday, while futures climbed — but remained range-bound — on a smaller-than-expected storage build; the NGI Weekly National Spot Gas Average fell a penny to $2.31/MMBtu.

With generally moderate May weather equating to a lack of significant heating or cooling demand during the week ended Friday, natural gas spot prices trended lower; theNGIWeekly National Spot Gas Average fell 11 cents to $2.32/MMBtu.

Winter refuses to go quietly, bringing some unseasonably cool April temperatures to the Midwest and East and boosting natural gas spot prices during the week ended Friday. The NGI Weekly Spot Gas Average climbed 43 cents to end at $2.77/MMBtu.

A cold start to April helped natural gas futures rally as mild conditions corresponded with generally weak spot prices during a holiday-shortened week of trading. The NGI Weekly Spot Gas Average dropped a nickel to $2.48/MMBtu.
