Canadian NGX Adds U.S. Clearing Points

Canada’s Natural Gas Exchange (NGX) on June 8 launched four new major clearing points in the U.S. at the SoCal Citygate, NNG Ventura, ANR SE pool, and Tennessee 800L, along with three additional smaller points in Canada.

Transportation Notes

Tennessee, which had lifted an OFO Action Alert for downstream segments (Zones 2-6) of its system Sunday afternoon (see Daily GPI, May 5), removed it for production-area Zones 0, 1 and L Wednesday. The pipeline also said it was rescinding restrictions on storage, Park and Loan service and imbalance paybacks.

Transportation Notes

Due to anticipated colder temperatures and in order to maintain linepack, Tennessee said an OFO Action Alert will become effective Sunday “for all LMS-PA Balancing Parties (including SA contracts acting as balancing parties), LMS-MA and LMS-PL Balancing Parties with meters located in Zones 4, 5 and 6.” Affected shippers are limited to an imbalance tolerance of 2% or 500 Dth, whichever is greater.
