Transco said unfavorable weather had delayed the progress of repairs to a section of pipe in Eugene Island Block 135 on its Southeast Louisiana Lateral that was damaged during Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Transco now anticipates completion of the work on Feb. 15; it had previously expected to finish Jan. 31 (see Daily GPI, Jan. 16).
FERC OKs MoBay Storage Hub for AL
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission last week issued a certificate of public convenience and necessity under Section 7 of the Natural Gas Act authorizing MoBay Storage Hub LLC, a subsidiary of Houston-based Falcon Gas Storage Co., to develop and operate the MoBay Storage Hub Project in Southern Alabama.

Columbia Gas reminded Firm Storage Service (FSS) customers of a section in their rate schedule requiring that account volumes on Feb. 1 not exceed 65% of the Storage Contract Quantity (SCQ). Additionally, the maximum inventory on April 1 shall not exceed 25% of SCQ, Columbia said, adding that failure to comply with the April 1 requirement may result in forfeiture of quantities above the 25% level.
