Sonat said Monday it had completed temporary repairs to its Logansport, LA facilities. Gas flow was resumed for 59 upstream receipt points in the Logansport and Joaquin Fields that had been shut in by the work Saturday (see Daily GPI, April 23). Further evaluation is being done to develop a permanent repair plan, Sonat said.

The Hugoton (KS) Plant shut down for Thursday only to makeunplanned pipeline repairs. Northern Natural Gas said 35,000MMBtu/d at 13 receipt points was affected.

Repairs on an A-Line leak at the GPM/NNG Farnsworth receipt point(see Daily GPI, Feb. 7), affecting15,000 MMBtu/d, have been extended, Northern Natural Gas saidWednesday. The work, formerly expected to be completed Wednesday, nowlikely will last until Saturday, NNG said.

Due to a compressor failure at its Riner Station, Williamsdeclared a force majeure situation on Line Segments 490 and 491.Necessary repairs are expected to be completed by next Monday’s gasday. Since capacity in the two segments has been reduced,maintenance originally scheduled for the week of Aug. 21 at theCheyenne and Ogallah Stations will be done this week to minimizedisruptions during August, Williams said.

Questar experienced a mechanical failure Thursday in Unit #7 atits Clay Basin storage facility. Barring unexpected complications,repairs should be complete by today and the unit available forservice again on Tuesday’s gas day, the pipeline said. Injectioncapacity has been reduced to 235,000 Dth/d during the outage.Allocation of injection capacity was expected to occur each day,with the impact determined by customer nominations. However, thereis no impact on withdrawal nominations, Questar said.

Sonat was unable to begin repairs Thursday as anticipated (seeDaily GPI, July 27) on a July 5 rupturein its offshore 14-inch Romere Pass Line. However, the work likelywill begin today and last 10-15 calendar days, which means the lineshould be back in service around Aug. 12 at the latest, a spokeswomansaid. An estimated 50-100 MMcf/d at five platform receipt points isbeing shut in by the outage.

Unlessconditions change, the pipeline will accept intra-day Cycle 1nomination increases beginning at 5 p.m. CST for all meters downstreamof Main Line Valve 314.
