Questar experienced a mechanical failure Thursday in Unit #7 atits Clay Basin storage facility. Barring unexpected complications,repairs should be complete by today and the unit available forservice again on Tuesday’s gas day, the pipeline said. Injectioncapacity has been reduced to 235,000 Dth/d during the outage.Allocation of injection capacity was expected to occur each day,with the impact determined by customer nominations. However, thereis no impact on withdrawal nominations, Questar said.

As it had indicated Thursday (see Daily GPI, July 27), Sonat began repairing a July 5rupture Friday on its 14-inch Romere Pass Line offshore southeasternLouisiana.

Effective for Tuesday’s gas day and until further notice, NGPLis not allowing any additional firm injection rights for DSSservice on the Gulf Coast System. Shippers will be able to use upto IQ only for firm injections into DSS. Also effective Tuesday,NGPL is not allowing any additional firm injection rights in theIowa-Illinois and Gulf Coast Zones for NNS storage service.

Kinder Morgan Interstate’s pipeline Segment 775 capacity will bereduced Aug. 1-31 by 35,000 MMBtu/d due to planned compressormaintenance at the Herdon and Laton Compressor Stations. Dependingon nomination levels, ITS/AOR, Secondary and some Primary volumesrisk not being scheduled during the work.
