Northeast Spikes Lead All-Points Advance
Soaring Northeast gains that topped $4 in Transco’s two Zone 6 pools were way out in front of an across-the-board run of higher prices Friday. The weekend blizzard stretching from the Mid-Atlantic into the lower Northeast, along with forecasts of sub-freezing lows in the Midwest, Rockies, Canada and even parts of the South, were chiefly responsible for the firmness.
Prices Keep Rising at Nearly All Points
Only the two El Paso-San Juan pools and Tennessee Zone 6 in New England failed to continue rising Thursday. All other points were up anywhere from a nickel to a little more than half a dollar as the cash market derived support from a strong prior-day screen, another net weekly storage withdrawal being reported and high heat across the southern U.S. slowly spreading northward.
Transportation Notes
Dominion has rescinded an OFO prompted by full storage pools and overdeliveries into its system (see Daily GPI, Dec. 7). However, a Nov. 8 “Equalization Advisory,” in which shippers were asked to be sure that receipt and delivery volumes conformed with each other, remains in effect, Dominion said.
Transportation Notes
Saying its storage pools are full and customers are overdelivering gas into its system, Dominion has implemented an OFO to protect its system integrity. The order affects all customers under Rate Schedules FT, FTNN, IT and MCS.
