PDC Energy Inc. said Monday that it would direct most of its focus next year to Colorado’s Wattenberg field and the Permian Basin, laying out a plan for the assets it acquired in West Texas earlier this year that gives it a path to more growth.

Midland, TX-based Ring Energy Inc. announced new results Thursday from its three-well San Andres horizontal drilling program in the Permian Basin’s Central Basin Platform (CBP).

Devon Energy Corp., which ran five rigs in the U.S. onshore during the third quarter, may have as many as 10 in operation by year’s end, the Oklahoma City-based independent said Tuesday.
