EnCana Wants to Add Gas Wells in Piceance Basin

EnCana Corp. has filed a plan with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to add 1,200 natural gas wells in a 14,000 acre region of the Piceance Basin. The plan calls for up to 125 well pads and 1,240 gas wells.

Rocky Mountain Energy Closes Second Asset Acquisition in As Many Months

Houston-based Rocky Mountain Energy Corp. said Friday it has closed on the acquisition of the 8,000-acre Ten Mile and Desert Spring Fields located in Sweetwater County, WY. The company said there are five current wells producing 1,000 Mcf/d of natural gas and 67 bbl/d of oil.

Dominion Inks 83,000-Acre Deal With Ute Indian Tribe

Richmond, VA-based Dominion Exploration & Production Inc. reported that it has entered into a landmark agreement with Northern Ute Partners LLC to jointly explore for and develop oil and natural gas on 83,000 acres of previously restricted lands within the boundaries of the Uintah and Ouray Reservation of the Ute Indian Tribe in Utah.

Tengasco has completed a 60-mile intrastate pipeline from itsgas-rich 50,000-acre Swan Creek gas and oil field beginning inHancock County and ending in Kingsport, TN. Geological studiesindicate that the Swan Creek field may be one of the largestnatural gas and oil discoveries in the Appalachian region of theUnited States.

Trigen to Develop Savings For Kodak

Trigen-Cinergy Solutions (TCS) signed a 20-year energy servicescontract with Eastman Kodak Co. to serve Kodak Park. The 1,300-acrecampus, with 160 major buildings, is in Rochester, NY, and isKodak’s main manufacturing site. TCS has been selected energymanager for steam and electric utility services, including 196megawatts of onsite electric generation capacity. TCS also willmanage all fuel procurement for Kodak Park. Transfer of operationsis expected to be in January.
