As global natural gas supply settles into a fragile balance, Cheniere Energy Inc. is pushing ahead its next generation of LNG projects with the expectation it may be able to deliver the third stage of the Corpus Christi facility in Texas sooner than expected.

Executives of the Houston-based liquefied natural gas exporter reported during the 3Q2023 earnings call that the more than 10 million metric tons/year (mmty) from the Stage 3 project could start first production by the end of next year. 

CEO Jack Fusco said all seven trains in Corpus may “achieve substantial completion” by the end of 2025.
