Fearing excessive linepack over the weekend, Northern NaturalGas implemented a System Underrun Limitation in all market-areazones for the gas days of Saturday and Sunday. The SUL will endtoday.

In a somewhat unusual move, Florida Gas Transmission extended atwo-day-old Overage Alert Day notice (see Daily GPI, Sept. 23 and 24) through Friday “and until furthernotice.” The pipeline normally re-evaluates system conditions eachmorning before deciding whether to extend an OFO. The notice carries a6% tolerance for daily negative imbalances and applies to the marketarea east of Station 12 (Santa Rosa County, FL).

Destin Pipeline said it was continuing to monitor the situation butwas willing to schedule receipts from VKGS Main Pass 260 on anintraday basis Friday and through the weekend. It advised shippersthat if a gas quality problem resurfaces, it will shut in the receiptpoint again immediately. Destin had shut in the point last Tuesdayafter detecting “some objectionable substance” flowing into the systemthere (see Daily GPI, Sept. 22).
