Northern Natural Gas did not extend a System Overrun Limitationfor all market areas beyond Friday.

In a Friday bulletin board posting, Columbia Gulf said it wouldbegin enforcing a heating value limit of 1,050 Btus per cubic footon all gas tendered to it two business days later (that is, thelimit will take effect Tuesday). In addition, all partiesdelivering gas into the Columbia-operated Blue Water System on theWestern Shoreline, the Southwestern Extension or the Header (westof the system null point) may be required to prove that such gas isbeing processed at the Blue Water Processing Plant to ensure thatthe composite gas stream at Egan, LA has a gross heating value of1,050 Btus or less.

Tennessee responded to the Columbia Gulf action by notifyingcustomers that, also starting Tuesday, it will no longer acceptnominations or schedule flow for delivery into the Columbia-operated system, including deliveries into the exchange betweenColumbia and Tennessee (Rate Schedule X-56) and theColumbia-operated segments of the Blue Water system mentioned aboveunless the gas meets the 1,050-Btu limit or the shipper is able towarrant to Tennessee that such arrangements are in place with thedownstream transporter (Columbia). This notice will remain ineffect until Columbia lifts its additional gas qualityspecification, Tennessee said.
