CMS Energy Corp. dedicated its new headquarters building for CMSPanhandle Pipe Line Companies at 5444 Westheimer in Houston. About300 employees are moving to the new location.

CMS Panhandle Pipe Line Companies includes CMS Panhandle EasternPipe Line Co., CMS Trunkline Gas Co., CMS Trunkline LNG Co. and PanGas Storage Co. CMS Energy acquired the Panhandle Pipe LineCompanies from Duke Energy in a $2.2 billion transaction completedlast March.

The acquired businesses now operate as subsidiaries of CMSEnergy’s diversified gas pipeline unit, CMS Gas Transmission andStorage Co. CMS Panhandle Pipe Line Companies’ assets include10,400 miles of mainline gas pipeline extending from the Gulf ofMexico; the Louisiana and Texas Gulf Coasts; Midcontinent and RockyMountain supply regions to the Midwest and Canada, with a combinedpeak day deliverability of 4.4 Bcf/d, and 85 Bcf of undergroundstorage facilities.

Another CMS Energy business unit based in Houston, CMS Oil andGas Co., and its 140 Houston employees, will remain downtown. CMSEnergy’s marketing unit, CMS Marketing, Services and Trading, alsohas an office in Houston.

In San Antonio, TX, PG&E Gas Transmission has leased 67,000square feet of office space in the San Pedro Building. The buildingwill be renamed PG&E Plaza. The company will occupy four floorsof the nine-story building, making it the major tenant.
