Sonat lifted Friday the OFO Type 3 that was implemented Thursday for eight system groups. It also ended capacity allocations for four other groups.

The System Protection Warning that MRT put into effect Tuesday was rescinded Saturday.

Excess liquids caused by a pigging operation on the Matagorda Offshore Pipeline System were starting to clear out, operator Northern Natural Gas said Friday, and MOPS scheduling was to be returned to normal Saturday, restoring about 100,000 MMBtu/d of deliveries into Florida Gas Transmission, Gulf South and Tejas.

East Tennessee Natural Gas suspended its Maximum Allowable Delivery (MAD) Service constraint and restrictions on Secondary service in four segments for Saturday and Sunday. However, it said weather and load forecasts indicated a period of high demand for Monday “that would necessitate having these restrictions and MAD back in place.”

Tennessee postponed repairs to the Bay Marchand 5 platform, originally planned to begin Dec. 18 (see Daily GPI, Dec. 6), until sometime in January. Physical flow at the Bay Marchand 24, Grand Isle 47, South Timbalier 22, Grand Isle 48J, South Timbalier 54/55E, Bay Marchand 5 and South Timbalier 23 meters will be suspended for about eight days during the work.

El Paso said it had to shut down Line 1204 between Window Rock and Navajo Stations to replace sections of pipe. Capacity of the North Mainline was reduced an additional 40 MMcf/d (to 2,270 MMcf/d) effective with Friday’s Cycle 3 nominations. The line was expected to remain out of service through Sunday (Dec. 8).
