El Paso‘s Line 1203, which delivers gas to the Phoenix area from the North Mainline, will have a section out of service Friday through Dec. 1. The line will be lowered to accommodate a road widening and power line relocation project in the city of Avondale. El Paso said it requested a delay to allow better coordination of the outage with customers and other pipeline operations, but the request was denied. The force majeure even will prevent about 70 MMcf/d of the usual 120 MMcf/d that flows south on Line 1203 from the North Mainline (San Juan Basin supplies) from reaching southern portions of the Phoenix metropolitan area (i.e., there will be a reduction of north to south transfer capacity of about 70 MMcf/d. Gas will be supplied to the southern Phoenix area from the South Mainline during the outage.

A total outage of Transwestern‘s P-3 Compressor Station on the Panhandle Lateral that started Monday has been extended three days beyond its previously anticipated completion date (see Daily GPI, Nov. 6) to Nov. 26.

Transco will begin accepting receipt nominations of up to 30,000 Dth/d at the Texas Eastern Ragley interconnect in Louisiana beginning with Thursday’s gas day. Texas Eastern had ceased deliveries at the point last Friday due to pressure differentials between the two pipelines (see Daily GPI, Nov. 18). “Current operations on the Transco and [Texas Eastern] systems will only support receipts at this level [30,000 Dth/d),” Transco said Wednesday, adding that it will post a notice on its Transit bulletin board when the receipt restriction at Ragley changes.

ANR is conducting engine maintenance on its Bridgman and Hamilton Compressor Stations in Michigan, resulting in respective capacity constraints of 115 MMcf/d and 400 MMcf/d in the Northern Fuel Segment (ML-7) through Nov. 30. However, based on current nominations, neither reduction is expected to have any impact to service.

The maintenance that began Nov. 4 on one unit at CIG‘s Beaver Station has been extended to Nov. 27, keeping capacity through the station reduced by about 50 MMcf/d.

It wasn’t posted on the bulletin board until Tuesday, but El Paso said it has completed construction related to the Line 2000 Conversion Project and that the facilities went into service Nov. 13 and are available for scheduling. The project involved conversion of the former All American oil pipeline to gas service (see Daily GPI, May 16).
