Having lifted a long-running Overage Alert Day notice last Thursday, Florida Gas Transmission reinstated the notice Tuesday with 5% tolerance for negative daily imbalances. FGT also advised customers that operator Northern Natural Gas was having problems with high liquids on the Matagorda Offshore Pipeline System (MOPS) and that Tuesday’s Intra-Day One volumes would be one-third of previously scheduled quantities at FGT’s MOPS interconnect in Matagorda County, TX. NNG had said Friday that a MOPS pig run was scheduled Monday through Thursday of this week from Platform 686 to Tivoli, TX. “If liquids come in greater than Tivoli can handle, it is a possibility that volumes coming in from the Tivoli system may have to be shut in until liquids have cleared up,” according to the announcement.

Sonat declared a force majeure as a result of maintenance on the offshore West Delta 30 line. Starting Tuesday the pipeline was not scheduling any gas at the West Delta 30 meter for about three weeks.
