Because of a suspected failure on TransCanada’s NPS 20 Peace River Mainline on the Alberta system upstream of the Meikle River Compressor Station, FT and IT Service in Segment 1 UPRM will be cut until further notice. Typical flow for the area is 5,500 E3m3/d or about 200 MMcf/d. The line has been isolated and field personnel are trying to visually confirm the suspected failure location in the remote marshy area of northwestern Alberta. Contact the pipeline at (403) 920-7473 for details.

El Paso said repairs between the San Juan Mainline and Gallup Stations are causing more of a restriction than expected. The capacity reduction through Bondad and from the San Juan Basin will be changed to 50 MMcf/d effective Cycle 4, Oct. 8 and Cycle 2, Oct. 9, and continue until further notice. For details call a scheduling representative at (800) 238-3764. El Paso also said its White Rock 1 turbine must be taken off line to correct a vibration problem. Line 1204 requires pigging between Window Rock and Navajo Stations. The outages will be combined to minimize the overall impact to throughput. White Rock 1 will be down Oct. 9-10, reducing the capacity of the San Juan Basin by 230 MMcf/d. Line 1204 will be pigged Oct. 10. Other maintenance already underway at Hackberry, combined with the pigging, will reduce the capacity of the North Mainline by 260 MMcf/d. For details call a scheduling representative at (800) 238-3764. El Paso also said the Bondad B valve operator installations previously announced to occur Oct. 21-22 will be rescheduled to occur Oct. 14-15, reducing the capacity through Bondad by 100 MMcf/d.

Colorado Interstate Gas declared a Strained Operating Condition (SOC) and said it is unable to accommodate variations in receipts and delivery quantities from nominated levels. It said it has little or no capability to accommodate oversupply or under delivery imbalances. Furthermore, CIG continues to be unable to approve payback nominations to the pipeline or to accept any storage injection overrun requests. Interruptible storage shippers should avoid nominating injections to their accounts, and Swing Service shippers should match supplies with their daily delivery point requirements. Shippers also should continue to monitor contracts for imbalances and adjust nominations to eliminate any excess supplies or market under deliveries to the maximum extent possible. Finally, maximum Auto Park and Loan rates will be applicable to all daily parked or loaned quantities under that service during the effective period of the SOC. For questions regarding operational issues, contact Mark Westhoff at (719) 520-4555.

About 150,000 Dth/d will be cut at station seven in Zone 1 for five days starting on Oct 26. Also on Oct. 26, FGT will be upgrading the 30 inch mainline just upstream and downstream of compressor station No.8 in Zone No.2. The upgrade work will take five days and cut about 300,000 Dth/d.
