Both of California’s giant distributors issued OFOs against high linepack for Saturday. Southern California Gas set a tolerance of 10% for positive daily imbalances. Pacific Gas & Electric followed up Friday’s customer-specific OFO with a systemwide Stage 3 order that allowed zero tolerance and carried penalties of $5/Dth for deliveries in excess of what was nominated.

Florida Gas Transmission ended Friday an Overage Alert Day notice that had been in effect since Sept. 24.

Saying it had finished repairs on Unit #5, Transwestern raised P-3 Compressor Station capacity Friday from 200,000 MMBtu/d to its full 263,000 MMBtu/d.

TransCanada is looking to assign 100,000 Dth/d of firm capacity that it holds on the Great Lakes Gas Transmission (GLGT) system for the winter period (Nov. 1, 2004 to March 31, 2005). An auction for the capacity, which is between the Emerson receipt point and the St. Clair delivery point, is being held through 1 p.m. CDT Tuesday on GLGT’s “GL Connect” electronic business system. The maximum bid quantity is 100,000 Dth/d while the minimum acceptable quantity is 1,000 Dth/d. Call the Great Lakes Marketing Hotline at (888) 275-3611 or TransCanada’s Kay Coad at (403) 920-5569 for more information.
