Reflecting a drop in linepack, Westcoast posted daily imbalance tolerances of 15% pack and 5% draft for Monday. Last Tuesday the tolerances had been changed to zero pack and 20% draft (see Daily GPI, March 4).

Due to inclement weather, Williams Field Services (WFS) was experiencing operational problems Saturday behind the Opal Plant in Wyoming involving supplies from the Jonah and Big Piney fields, according to a bulletin board posting by Kern River. WFS planned to cut Opal confirmations in Cycle 4 (Intraday 2) of Saturday’s gas day as needed to match gas flows, the posting said. A WFS spokesman explained Monday that a snowstorm Friday night and Saturday morning had knocked out power to some of the Opal gathering systems’ compressors, but full operations were restored as of Saturday afternoon.

The newly installed 2A turbine at Bondad Station is being taken down to troubleshoot an apparent wiring problem, El Paso said Monday. Station capacity was lowered to about 510 MMcf/d effective with Monday’s Cycle 3 and Tuesday’s Cycle 1 nominations until further notice. According to an earlier posting about the Bondad Expansion Project (see Daily GPI, March 5), the capacity was scheduled to be 545 MMcf/d March 8-19.
