Citing high linepack on its system, Tennessee issued a Critical Period-Imbalances alert Friday. Excessive positive imbalances could jeopardize its operational integrity, the pipeline said. All LMS and SA contracts must be nominated and scheduled in balance to avoid the necessity of (1) adjusting receipts or deliveries; and/or 2) issuing a systemwide OFO, Tennessee said.

Transwestern declared a force majeure Friday at the Bisti Compressor Station, saying it was inspecting the down unit and evaluating the situation. San Juan area volumes were being allocated effective with Cycle 3 volumes Friday, and total capacity for the San Juan Lateral was limited to about 800,000 MMBtu/d until further notice.

Columbia Gas will begin the tie-in today of a portion of Line SM-116 that was relocated due to coal mining activity. Texas Eastern said Friday that due to mild temperatures across its system “and the corresponding low level of physical deliveries expected over the upcoming weekend,” it would have no capacity to accept excess gas into the system through today. It also was not accepting due-pipeline makeup gas through today.

El Paso said 4,000-hour inspections of Wenden Station’s B turbine and Bondad Station’s 1A turbine had been completed ahead of schedule, allowing capacity on the Havasu Crossover and through Bondad to be raised to 650 MMcf/d and 585 MMcf/d respectively, effective with Thursday’s Cycle 4 nominations. However, current pressures on the North and South Mainlines do not yet allow restoration of the 660 MMcf/d Havasu volume that was in place prior to the Wenden B outage, the pipeline said.
