Sonat reported seeing no significant reduction in nominated supply from Thursday’s gas day to the one today. Based on current nominated supply and projected demand, system requirements will exceed storage injection capabilities today, it said. Thus, unless supplies are cut back significantly today, it’s “highly likely” that an OFO Type 6 will be issued for Saturday’s day, Sonat said.

Although it doesn’t expect to finalize a repair plan for additional maintenance needs at its Logansport, LA, facilities until today, Sonat said late Thursday afternoon that upstream shippers and point operators “should be advised that it is highly likely that the repair plan will require production to be shut in for the start of the gas day Saturday… The duration of the shut-in is unknown at this time, but it is likely to run through the end of April.” An update on the situation will be posted by 9 a.m. CDT today.

In its latest update on the matter, Maritimes & Northeast says maintenance at the Sable Offshore Energy Processing Plant (see Daily GPI, April 18) is now scheduled for Sunday and Monday. Physical volumes from the plant will be cut to zero for those days, the pipeline said, but it will support up to 185,000 dekatherms of market sourced from the Baileyville (ME) Compressor Station out of linepack and upstream pipe assistance.

Questar Pipeline said it was notified by LDC affiliate Questar Gas that deliveries at the Payson Gate Station will be reduced by 45,000 dekatherms for about eight to 12 hours today for emergency line work. As a result, the pipeline expected to schedule its Southern System by a like amount today.

El Paso will take Line 3173 from Puckett to Waha out of service for about two weeks of repairs beginning Friday afternoon. Gas from the ITERRELL and IPUCKETT interconnects must be rerouted to Keystone Mainline during the repairs, where it will compete for available capacity, the pipeline said. ITERRELL and IPUCKETT will experience higher than normal pressures during the outage.
